Sappi Ideas that Matter
Sappi Fine Paper North America launched Ideas That Matter, a decade ago, as the industry’s only grant program aimed at helping designers contribute their talents to the charitable activities that they care about most. Sappi believes that the creative ideas of designers can have an impact beyond the aesthetic and that those ideas can be a powerful force for social good.
Sappi’s Ideas That Matter grant program made possible Moving Design’s One Drop project in 2010.

The ReBuilding Exchange
The ReBuilding Exchange is making a huge impact in the Chicago region. Since 2009, we’ve diverted over 3,000 tons of building material from the landfill, made over $2 million worth of quality building materials available to the public for reuse projects at affordable prices, launched Chicago’s first building deconstruction and reuse warehouse job training program and trained 24 people in an emerging green collar sector.
When Trek began in 1976, our mission was simple: Build the best bikes in the world. Today, we’ve added to our mission: Help the world use the bicycle as a simple solution to complex problems.
The bicycle is the most efficient form of human transportation. It can combat climate change, ease urban congestion, and build human fitness. It brings us together, yet allows us to escape. And it takes us places we would never see any other way.
